Aaron James Allen, a cherished son, grandson, caring big brother, loving nephew and uncle, and loyal friend, passed away on March 22, 2026, at the age of 40. Born on August 28, 1985, Aaron’s passing leaves a void that can never be filled in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Aaron spent much of his life in the town he loved, Emporia, Kansas. He graduated from Concordia High School and continued his education at Emporia State University. He carried with him a deep appreciation for his community and the relationships he built there. Aaron also held a deep love for his church, Victory Four Square Church of Emporia, where he cared deeply for his church family and found strength, purpose, and connection.
Aaron’s life was a testament to unwavering love. He gave himself freely, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and courage that touched everyone he met. He possessed a rare and selfless loyalty, always offering the full measure of his heart to family, friends, and his faith community alike.
He was preceded in death by his father, Darrell Allen.
Aaron is survived by his mother, Sherry VanNess of Philadelphia, PA; his siblings, Amy Duncan and Collin VanNess, both of Philadelphia, PA; Randy and Stacy Allen of Levittown, PA, and their daughter, Emily; his grandmother, Iva McLaughlin of Ravenna, OH; his aunt and uncle, Cindy and Roger Carney of Lyndhurst, OH, along with their children, Joshua, Roger, and Jennifer; as well as many other family members, church family, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Aaron will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for the compassion, loyalty, and love he shared so freely with all who knew him.
Cremation has taken place with a Memorial Service at 10:00, Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Victory Fellowship Church in Emporia. Private burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Concordia with his father.
