Alberta Louise Mcfadden

Alberta Louise Duncan McFadden died at Presbyterian Manor, on Mother's Day, May 11, 2025. She was 92 years old.

She was born in Emporia on August 10, 1932, the daughter of Thomas James and Eva Alberta Specht Duncan.  She married Gerald Robert McFadden and they later divorced.  Alberta was the customer services secretary at Didde Web Press for 40 years.  She is survived by her son, Michael Thomas McFadden, Mike's close friend, Joyce Arlene Fair; grandsons, Owen Michael McFadden and Nathaniel Thomas McFadden, and his wife, Caitlin Lee (Haig); former daughter-in-law, Anet Vyhanek Stevens (former wife of son Patrick Lynn McFadden); sister, Patricia Anne Duncan Lackey; brothers, Larry Duncan and his wife, Rosalie, sister-in-law Melody Parker Duncan (wife of James Duncan); sister-in-law Daytha Williams Duncan (wife of Phillip Duncan); former sister-in-law Mary Kay Pauler Wright; and numerous nieces and nephews, spouses, and their families.

She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Rita Kathryn Krueger McFadden (wife of Michael); son, Patrick Lynn McFadden; brothers, Philip Duncan, Dennis Duncan and James Duncan; brother-in-law, Barton Lackey; and nephews, Kirk Duncan and Douglas Duncan.

The Rosary will be recited Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 6:30 P.M. at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, 605 State Street, Emporia, Kansas, 66801. The family will receive friends at 7:30 P.M. following the Rosary.

Graveside services will take place Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 10:30 A.M. at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 1600 Road M5, Emporia, Kansas, 66801.
