Alfred Eugene McClintick, Emporia, Kansas, died Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Flint Hills Care Center, Emporia, at the age of 74.
Mr. McClintick was born in Chillicothe, Missouri, on July 30, 1937, the son of Alfred Evert and Mable Arizona (Cox) McClintick. He married Betty Jo Gaffney in Emporia on April 28, 1962, and they later divorced.
Surviving family members include: two daughters, JoAnn Robertson, Richmond, Kansas, and Julie McClintick , Emporia; a son, John Wayne McClintick, Emporia; brothers, Harold Gene McClintick, Brookfield, Missouri, James Rhoades and Rodger Fowler, both of Emporia; sister, Leotta Anspaugh, Clinton, Missouri; grandchildren, Michael McClintick, Ashley McClintick, Sara McClintick, Alexandria Davis, Donivan Barrett, Larae, Laci, and Leah Robertson, of Emporia; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Marion Lee McClintick.
Alfred worked for Modern Air Conditioning for 20 years, and later was a material hauling truck driver for 15 years. He served in the U.S. Army.
Cremation is planned, with no services.
