Alice Evelyn Millerskow, 98, of Americus, Kansas, died Monday, April 20, 2015 at Holiday Resort, Emporia, Kansas.

Alice Evelyn was born April 9, 1917 in Americus, the daughter of Frederick John and Lucy Eva (Stanfield) Warnken. She married Bendix Millerskow on April 15, 1940 in Clinton, Iowa. He died November 8, 1970 in Emporia.

She is survived by son, Duane Millerskow of Mulvane, Kansas; daughters, Patricia Millerskow Lang and husband Charles D. of Perry, Kansas, Lois Williams and husband Steve of Kansas City, Kansas, and Katherine Terry of Tescott, Kansas; sister, Elma Moore of Emporia; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Vernon Millerskow and Leon Millerskow; and a great-granddaughter, Alexis Rodriguez.

She worked in the Kansas State Teachers College Student Union as a cook until her retirement at the age of 62. Alice was a graduate of the Salvation Army Ministry College in Chicago, Illinois. She enjoyed spending time at the Americus Senior Center.

Cremation is planned. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, May 1, 2015 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia. Mr. Wes Moore of Wichita, Kansas will be officiating. Inurnment will be in Americus Cemetery at a later date.
