Services for Jean Pattison will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia. Inurnment will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Emporia.


The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening, November 27, 2012, from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M.


Jean passed away November 16, 2012, after a brief illness. She was the daughter of Fred Lee and Guilda Margarette (Johnson) Shaw. Jean was born in the village of Goes, in the township of Xenia, Ohio on September 5, 1931. She married Milo D. Riley, Sr. on February 14, 1950 in Niagra Falls, New York. They moved to Kansas in 1952 to be near Milo’s family. Jean and Milo later divorced. Milo passed away on November 4, 1988.


Jean married W.W. Pattison on September 1, 1972. He passed away on November 21, 1992.


She worked many years at Iowa Beef Processors as a quality control inspector, she retired in 1992. During her retirement she worked at Wal-Mart. She joined the Easter Star in 1954 and remained a member until her death.


She is survived by her daughter, Susan Riley, Emporia; her sons, Roger Riley of Lebo, Kansas, and Milo Riley of Shell Knob, Missouri; two daughters-in-law; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mable Conn, Temple, Texas.


She was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Wayne Blair, in December of 2008; brothers, James, Marion, Russell, and Robert Shaw; and sisters, Glenna, Irene, and Donna.
