Anita Louise Parks, rural Emporia, died on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Newman Regional Health in Emporia, Kansas. She was 75 years old.
Anita was born on November 23, 1947, in Topeka, Kansas. She was the daughter of Ervin L. and Winnifred C (Rezac) Surritt. She married Alfred W. "Alf" Parks in Lyon County, Kansas, who died on August 19, 2017.
Surviving family members include her sister, Kayla Schleif of Belvue, Kansas and grandson Cale Parks of Emporia, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Mica Parks.
Cremation is planned. Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Hillside Cemetery in Toledo, Kansas at 11:00 A.M. Memorial contributions to the Disabled American Veterans can be sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, P.O. Box 175, Emporia, Kansas 66801.
