Ann Marie Peet, 59, died on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Pratt House in Ottawa, Kansas surrounded by her friends and family.
Ann was born on November 15, 1958 in Albuquerque, New Mexico; she was the adopted daughter of Irl E. and Ruby Dreasher Peet.
She is survived by two brothers, Lawrence Peet and his wife Betty of Kansas City, Kansas and Melvern A. Peet and his wife Barbara of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister LaMonta M. Douglas and brother Kenneth Peet.
Ann will be remembered for her fun spirit, love for coloring, affinity for cats, ability to beat anyone at Chinese checkers and her big smile. She graduated from Emporia High School and worked for Hetlinger Developmental Services in Emporia as well as COF Training Services in Ottawa.
Services will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 to include a visitation at 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia, Kansas followed by a graveside service at 11:30 p.m. at the Hartford Cemetery, Hartford, Kansas and a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. at the COF Training Center in Ottawa, Kansas.
