Anna L. (Fish) Lillian, 82, of Emporia, Kansas, and formerly of Hartford, Kansas, passed away at Holiday Resort, Emporia, on Wednesday, January 16, 2013.
Anna was born to Benjamin Franklin and Florence May (St. Bonnett) Fish on August 7, 1930 on a farm west of Neosho Rapids, Kansas. She married Arthur “Wayne” Lillian September 28, 1948. He passed away February 3, 1998.
Surviving family members include a sister, Wionna, and a brother, Charles, both of California, as well as many special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bernard and Lawrence E. Fish; and two sisters, Margaret Hammond and Isabell C. Verlin.
Anna and Wayne spent 50 years on their farm. She was librarian for the Hartford Public Library for many years. Anna graduated from Neosho Rapids (Kansas) High School in 1948. She was a lifetime member of the Newman Hospital Auxiliary, a member of the Lyon County Historical Society, and the Emporia Friends of the Zoo.
Funeral services will be held at the Hartford United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. The service will be conducted by Gene Huston, of the church. Interment will follow at Hartford Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church the hour before the service.
Memorials have been designated to the Hartford Public Library or the Hartford United Methodist Church, with contributions sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
