Anna Mae Lodle, 81, Emporia, Kansas, passed away at her home on Friday May 24, 2019.

Anna Mae Peak was born in Newton, Kansas on November 26, 1937, the daughter of J. Harley and Martha Marie (Foerster) Peak. She married Carl Petersen February 11, 1956. They later divorced. She married Charles Edington on May 1 1975. He died March 28, 1990. On March 20, 1993 Anna Mae married George A. Lodle. He survives of the home.

Other surviving family members include her children; Jeff Petersen, and his significant other Colleen Finney, Emporia, Ron Petersen, and wife, Cheryl, Waverly, and Tina Briggs, Lawrence. There are twelve grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Shari Egan, and granddaughter, Lenise Petersen, and great-grandson, Kolten Erwin

Growing up Anna Mae attended several schools including Madison, Walnut, and Bucher in southern Lyon County. She graduated Emporia High School in 1956 and worked for the Didde Corporation for 28 years until her retirement. She and George were members of Messiah Lutheran Church and the Emporia Garden Club.

Anna Mae enjoyed camping, fishing, time at the lake cabin she and Charles Edington owned, trips to casinos, and time with family, especially her husband, George, who never left her side.

Funeral services will be at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. the service will be conducted by Pastor Norbert Tegtmeier, Messiah Lutheran Church.   Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, south of Emporia.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 7:00 until 8:30.
