Anna M. Saffer, 82, Emporia, Kansas, died Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Harry Hines Hospice in Wichita, Kansas.
  
  
  
  
  Anna M. Kimbrel was born June 17, 1931 at Emporia, the daughter of Benjamin and Myrtle (Cozad) Kimbrel. Anna married Floyd Saffer at Cottonwood Falls, Kansas on June 17, 1947. He survives.
  
  
  
  
  Other surviving family members include: a daughter, Pat Stutesman, Pueblo, Colorado; son, Kenneth Saffer, Emporia; sisters, Jean Bible, Pueblo, Colorado, Rose Adams, Florence, Colorado, and Linda Metcalfe, Dunlap, Kansas; grandchildren, Kendra Mooneyman, Emporia, and Laurie Grimmett, Wichita, Kansas; and six great-grandchildren.
  
  
  
  
  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Jean Saffer, who died August 15, 1969; two brothers; and one sister.
  
  
  
  
  Through her life Mrs. Saffer had worked for the New Process Laundry, Fanestil Meats, and Spic and Span Cleaners.
  
  
  
  
  Cremation is planned.
  
  
  
  
  A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 11, 2014, conducted by Pastor Lee Hoskins. The family will receive friends during the hour before the service at the funeral home.
