Bernice Lynn Siegele, 93, formerly of Emporia died on Friday, August 11, 2017 at the Brookdale Pecan Park Senior Living Center in Arlington, Texas.
Bernice was born on March 12, 1924 in Neosho Rapids, Kansas the daughter of James F. and Marie Reber Lynn. She married Milton H. Siegele, Sr. on December 28, 1952 in Emporia, Kansas. He died on May 13, 2010 in Emporia.
Surviving family members include: sons, Milton H. Siegele, Jr. (Debbie) of Colleyville, Texas, Mike L. Siegele (Rita) of Elizabeth, Colorado; daughter, Lynette M. Siegele-Eisenhut of Fresno, California; grandchildren, Nathan Siegele (Natalie), Melissa Lawver (Andrew), Chase Siegele (Emma), Chance Siegele (Ashley), Cort Siegele, Connor Siegele, Adam Eisenhut, and Jacob Eisenhut; great-grandchildren, Autumn Lawver, Cora Siegele, and Jax Siegele; sister Alverta M. VanGundy; nieces and nephews, Joe VanGundy, Sue Baker, Carol Bivins, George Elliott, and Bill Davis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son Raymond Siegele, brother Raymond J. Lynn, sisters Mabel Davis and Lena Elliot, son-in-law John Eisenhut.
Bernice was a homemaker, and she enjoyed hosting family gatherings, cooking, playing the piano/organ, singing, gardening, quilting, and being involved in her children's activities like PTA and serving as a den mother.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Patio Garden at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Emporia. Memorial contributions to His Story Coaching and Counseling can be sent in care of the funeral home.
