Bertha Martha Subijas of Wichita, Kansas died on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. She was 72.
Bertha was born on December 28, 1947 of Emporia, Kansas the daughter of Jose and Ynacia Solis Sanchez.
Surviving family members include: son, Gilbert (Kristen) Sanchez of El Dorado, Kansas; grandchildren, Kynzie Sanchez of McKinney, Texas and Kru Sanchez of El Dorado, Kansas; great-granddaughter. Kali Gates; sisters, Margaret Harris, Antonia Sanchez, Mary Ellen Sotelo, and Juanita Hernandez all of Emporia.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son Michael Sanchez, brothers Manuel Sanchez and Biviano Sanchez, sisters Pauline Sanchez, Isabelle Sanchez, and Mary Sanchez-Leao
Bertha was a Caregiver for many years in Emporia and El Paso. She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church, Emporia.
Private Mass of Christian burial will be at St. Catherine Catholic Church, Emporia. Cremation will take place following the service. Burial will occur at the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Emporia at a later date.
