Betty Jean Rhoads of Neosho Rapids, Kansas died on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at her home. She was 76.
Betty was born on July 15, 1947, in Goodland, Kansas, the daughter of Elmer L. and Eva M. Grefe Palmer. She married Joseph Edward Rhoads on March 25, 1966, in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas.
Surviving family members include: husband, Joseph E. Rhoads of Neosho Rapids; son, Curtis E. Rhoads of Osawatomie; Jo Anne (Scott) Kuhens of Emporia; grandchildren, Trevor, Zackery, and Katelyn Kuhens, Ashley Richardson, Peter, Tara, and Joshua Cantu, and Thaine Rhoads; brother, Jerry (Marieta) Palmer of Roseville, California; sister Shirley (John) Depew of Emporia.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers William and Alvin Palmer.
Betty was the Postmaster in Neosho Rapids before retiring on August 1, 2012.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, October 27, 2023, at Mount Hope Cemetery in Neosho Rapids, Kansas.
