Following a lengthy hospital stay, Bobby W. Dodson, 83, of Emporia, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 in Emporia.
Bobby was born October 14, 1934 in Mineola, Texas, the son of Alger and Mamie Dodson. He owned and operated his own tractor trailer and hauled loads for many different companies. When Bobby wasn’t on the road he enjoyed spending time with his family.
On July 16, 1955 Bobby married Maureen Malinowsky in Salina, Kansas. She survives the home. Other survivors include son, David Dodson and wife Lisa of Wichita, Kansas; daughters, Joellen Dill and husband Don of Emporia, and Patricia Dodson of Aurora, Colorado; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Friday, July 27, 2018 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
