Bonnie Lee Belt, 78, of Emporia, Kansas, died at her home on Tuesday, September 10, 2013.
Bonnie was born on November 8, 1934 in Emporia, the daughter of Walter and Wreatha Killion Cole. She married Glenn Leroy Belt on May 6, 1954 in Council Grove, Kansas. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include: her son, Mike Belt and wife Anita of Wichita; her daughters, Bonita Kratzberg and husband Ron, and Sandra Short, both of Emporia; her brother, Larry Cole of Neosho Rapids; sisters, Barbara Stotts of Emporia, and Mildred Thompson of Indianapolis, Indiana; ten grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter, Glenda Lee Medlen.
Bonnie was a homemaker, and an avid bingo player. She loved writing poetry.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia. Burial will follow at Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Emporia. The visitation will be Friday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
