Brenda Sue Urton, 53, of Olpe, Kansas, died at Newman Regional Health, Emporia, Kansas, on Friday, October 31, 2014.
Brenda was born in Topeka, Kansas on October 28, 1961. She married Charlie Thomas on December 13, 1980 in Council Grove, Kansas, they later divorced. She married Gary Odgers in May of 1988 in Daytona Beach, Florida, and they also divorced.
Surviving family members include her son, Chad Thomas (Nicole) of Alma, Kansas; daughter, Shila Odgers, Olney, Illinois; mother and stepfather, Karen and Harold Buckbee, Allen, Kansas; sister, Debbie Schlesener, Wichita, Kansas; and grandchildren, Tucker, Gavin, Willow, Jason, and Jaxon.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Scot and Bill Cone.
Brenda was employed in the healthcare field for 20 years.
The family will receive friends at Roberts-Blue-Barnet Funeral Home, Emporia, Thursday evening, November 6, 2014, from 5:30 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Cremation will follow.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Allen (Kansas) Community Center, conducted by Jessie Niedfeldt.
