Justin Heinitz, rural Emporia, passed away at his home on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the age of 44.
Carl Justin Heinitz was born in Emporia, Kansas on July 6, 1979, the son of Rex Heinitz and Janece (Mize) Heinitz. Justin married Melissa Mayer on August 6, 2005, in Olpe, Kansas. They later divorced. He married Naomi Keating on January 15, 2017, she survives. Also surviving is his daughter; Dylan Heinitz, Emporia, his mother; Janece Bacon, Emporia, brothers; Chris Heinitz, Emporia, and Marc Heinitz, Olathe, Kansas. His father, Rex, died earlier.
He worked as a carpenter in the Emporia area. He had attended Flint Hills Area Technical College.
Cremation is planned. Family and friends will gather at the family home, at a later date to be determined, to share memories of Justin.
A formal service will also be held at the First Christian Church on March 27th at 10:00am. Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia, is assisting with arrangements.
