Carol Lorenz, 66, Emporia, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at Flint Hills Care Center, Emporia.
Carol Dean Bass was born in Sacramento, California on July 10, 1959, the daughter of Bernerd and Gladys Bass. She married George Marler who later passed away. On March 17, 2012 Carol married Thomas Lorenz, in Emporia, and he survives. Other survivors include daughters; Georgia Marler, Independence, Missouri, and Rebecca Marler, Farmington, Missouri. Mother-In-Law, Gwen Lorenz, Emporia, Kansas and Brother-In-Law, David Lorenz, also Emporia, Kansas. Her parents, husband, George, and one brother, died earlier.
She was a homemaker and was a member of the West Side Baptist Church in Emporia.
A Celebration of Carol’s life will be held at Flint Hills Manor Care Center, Emporia, Kansas on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. The service will be conducted by Pastor Brad Hargis of West Side Baptist Church. A Service of committal will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery, Fort Riley, Kansas. Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia, is in charge of arrangements.
