Carol Anne Renfro

Carol Anne Renfro of Emporia, died on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the Emporia Presbyterian Manor. She was 78.

Carol was born on March 22, 1947, in Emporia, Kansas, the daughter of M.O. “Pat” and Beulah Bowers Burnell. She married Carl Wayne Renfro on November 1, 1980, in Emporia. He died on April 26, 2021, in Emporia.

She is survived by many Nieces and Nephews.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Robert Burnell, Buck Burnell, and Charles Burnell, sisters Chlorita Smith, June Harger, and Peggy Bailey.

Carol was a Hair Stylist and Preschool Teacher.

Cremation is planned with a private burial at Maplewood Memorial Lawn Cemetery at a later date.
