Carrol Eugene Koch, 63, of Emporia passed away Monday, October 18, 2010, at his home.

Carrol Eugene Koch, the son of Ruben and Pearl Stinle Koch, was born September 21, 1947, in Hillsboro, KS. He married Carolyn Sigler on November 1, 1968, in Cottonwood Falls, KS. She survives of the home.

Other surviving members of the family include: a Son, Bryan Koch of Lindstrom, MN; a Daughter, Keri Irey of Melvern, KS; his mother, Pearl Koch of Hillsboro, KS; a Brother, Wayne Koch of Wichita, KS; two Sisters, Glenda Fleener of Eldorado, KS, and Judy Heibert of Hillsboro, KS; four Grandchildren, Trey Irey, Brennan Irey, Hailey Koch, and Wesley Koch.

He had been the owner of Koch’s 66 Service Station in Emporia for 33 years, retiring four years ago. He also was a member of the First Baptist Church in Americus, KS.

Mr. Koch has been cremated, and there are no services planned. Memorial donations to either the Emporia High School Swim Team or the Beau Arndt Foundation may be sent in care of the funeral home.
