Cathy D. Cox of Emporia died on Friday, August 3, 2018 at her home in Emporia. She was 57.
Cathy was born on January 22, 1961 in Emporia, Kansas the daughter of Arthur William “Bud” and Virginia M. Humphreys Hylton.
She is survived by: sister-in-law: Marjorie Hylton of Montgomery, Texas; Niece, Melanie Miles of Montgomery, Texas; nephew, Devin Hylton of Texas; long time companion Alvin Cox.
She is preceded in death by her parents, step-father Albert Crouch, brother Dean Hylton, and nephew Damon Hylton.
Cathy graduated from Emporia High School. For several years she was a CNA in the Emporia area. Cathy really enjoyed and was an avid swimmer at the Jones Aquatic Center and the Emporia Recreation Center.
Cremation is planned with a graveside service 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 10, 2018 at the Patio Garden, Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contribution to the EHS Athletics can be sent in care of the funeral home.
