Chad Anthony Thomas-Buckbee, 36, of Alma, Kansas died on Friday, February 2, 2018 at the Wamego City Hospital, Wamego.
Chad was born on June 8, 1981 in Council Grove, Kansas the son of Brenda Urton and Charles Thomas. He was later adopted by Harold and Karen Urton Buckbee, his biological grandmother and step-grandfather. Chad married Nicole Myers in February 2005. She survives.
Surviving family include: wife, Nicole Thomas of Alma; sons, Tucker and Gavin Thomas, Alma, Kansas; daughters, Willow and Fallan Thomas of Alma, Kansas; father, Harold Buckbee of Allen, Kansas; sister, Debbie Schlessner of Wichita, Kansas; biological father Charles Thomas of Garfield, Kansas.
He is preceded in death by his mother Karen Buckbee; brothers, Scot Cone and William Cone; grandparents, Bill and Annette Buckbee, and Shelly and Esther Urton.
Chad worked for Alma Foods as plant maintenance engineer for 15 years.
Cremation is planned with a visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia. A private graveside will be at a later date. Memorial contributions to the Thomas Children Memorial Fund can be sent in care of the funeral home.
