Charles Wayne Brown, 89 of Emporia, Kansas died Sunday, November 26, 2023 at the Holiday Resort Care Center in Emporia.
Wayne was born July 6, 1934 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas the son of Willliam D. and Ethel Barbara (Wright) Brown. He served in the US Army in Korea during the Korean Conflict. Wayne taught for a while at Wichita East High School and then retired from Boeing. Wayne was a world class skeet and trap shooter and competed across the country. He enjoyed RVing with his wife and wintered in Aransas Pass, Texas. Wayne also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
On February 8, 1965 Wayne married Donna Griffith in Perryton, Texas. She survives. Other survivors include: sons Doug Fullhart of Grenola, Kansas and Joe Fullhart of Grenola, daughter Kim Stahlecker of Ankeny, Iowa and many grandchildren.
Cremation is planned and services will be held at a later date.
