Charles Lester Schaefer, 55, of Emporia, Kansas, died on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Flint Hills Care Center in Emporia.
Charles was born on March 4, 1959 in Emporia, the son of Charles Ramon and Mary M. Housley Schaefer.
Surviving family members include: mother, Mary Schaefer of Emporia; brother, Jay Schaefer of rural Reading, Kansas; uncle, Orville Lester Housley of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; nephew, Zakariah Schaefer; one step-niece; and one great-step-nephew.
He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Ramon Schaefer, and his grandparents.
Charles was a truck driver for many years. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Emporia, and served in the United States Marine Corps.
