Chase Laney Luby of Emporia died on Saturday, May 8, 2021 outside of Emporia.  She was 17.

Chase was born on April 28, 2004 in Overland Park, Kansas, the daughter of Tyson Langley and Heather Fowler Luby.

Surviving family members include: mother, Heather Luby of Emporia; father, Tyson (Brandy) Langley of Wichita; grandparents, Tony and Deborah Haag of Olpe, Dan Langley of Reading, and Merlin Kaufman of Gridley; great-grandfather, Roy Hoobler; brother, Preston Langley of Emporia, Keion Langley of Wichita; stepbrother, Aven Liddick of Alta Vista; and sisters, Malorie Ivy of Hays, Jaydence Langley and Holly-Rose Langley both of Wichita.

She is preceded in death by her brother Paxton Luby, and grandma Darla Kaufman.

Chase was a sophomore at Emporia High School.  Chase was a vibrant, beautiful, and intelligent young lady.  She was very outgoing and loved spending time with her friends and family.

Cremation is planned with a private service.  Memorial contributions to the Chase and Paxton Luby Memorial Fund in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, 605 State Street, Emporia, Kansas 66801.
