Christina Marie Keith Hutchinson (79) passed away June 26, 2011, in Emporia, Kansas.
  
  
  Christina Marie Keith was born June 27, 1931, at Strawn, Kansas, the daughter of Daniel Franklin Keith and Viola Blanche (Watts) Keith.
  
  
  Christina graduated from Strawn High School in 1948. She attended Emporia State University, graduating in 1971 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She taught in country schools for 7 ½ years in Coffey County, Kansas, and at William Allen White Elementary School in Emporia from 1972 until her retirement in 1992.
  
  
  Christina Keith was married to Donald Hutchinson December 25, 1950, in the Chapel of First Christian Church in Emporia, Kansas. He preceded her in death on January 11, 2008.
  
  
  Survivors include: two sons, Marshall and wife Hazel of Salina, Kansas, and Marlin and wife Susan of Emporia; three grandsons, Andy Hutchinson and wife Jenny, Dr. Frankie Hutchinson and wife Kristie of Manhattan; and Devin Hutchinson of Emporia; five great-grandchildren, Grace, Andrew, Bryce, Caeleb, and Jack, Manhattan, Kansas; and a sister, Virginia Kelley, Emporia.
  
  
  She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; brothers, William and Harold; and a sister, Kathryn Rosine.
  
  
  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home. Reverend Billie Blair of the Tallgrass Spiritual Retreat Center of Matfield Green, Kansas will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Emporia, Kansas. The family will visit with friends from 7 P.M. until 8 P.M. Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at the funeral home.
  
  
  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Emporia State University Foundation, Donald and Christina Hutchinson Memorial Athletic Scholarship Fund or Hand in Hand Hospice of Emporia, Kansas. Contributions may be sent in care of the funeral home.
