Christopher Michael Mejia

Christopher Michael Mejia, 43, of Emporia died on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 in Emporia.

Chris was born on June 2, 1975 in Emporia the son of Philip and Carol Richardson Mejia.

He is survived by: sons, Daniel Mejia of Lawrence, and Alex Mejia of Bonner Springs; parents, Philip, Sr., and Carol Mejia; brothers, Philip Mejia, Jr. and Tony Mejia both of Emporia; sister, Sheila Cook of Marietta, Oklahoma.

He is preceded in death by his sister Juanita Mejia.

Chris graduated from Emporia high school and Flint Hills Technical College.  He worked 8 years at Vektek as a machinist and later working as a maintenance man.

Cremation is planned with a visitation on Monday, November 5, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.  A private service will be held at a later date.
