Clayton E. Suddock, 79, of Rural Emporia died Wednesday, May 31, 2017 in the Emergency Room at Newman Regional Health.
His funeral will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 9, 2017 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home. Pastor Joe Tuttle will be officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to either the H. Dale Buck Animal Welfare Fund or the Emporia Friends of the Zoo may be sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett.
Clayton E. Suddock, the son of Joe and Laura Metcalf Suddock was born on April 30, 1938 in Emporia. He married Patsy Ruth Newton October 2, 1964 in Emporia. She preceded him in death on January 16, 2006.
Clayton worked at Emporia High School as a custodian and maintenance man.
He is survived by two sons, Billy Suddock of Emporia and Max Baldwin of Fort Scott; four daughters, Brenda Silvey of Colony, Karen Molina of Emporia, Ruby Burch of Boonville, MO, Lora Wamethi of Kansas City, MO; a brother, Don Suddock of McPherson; fourteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his wife; two brothers and four sisters.
