Clifton Hull, Jr., 86, of Emporia, Kansas, died Monday, June 6, 2011 at his home.
Clifton Hull, Jr. was born in Corcoran, California, on June 28, 1924, the son of Clifton George and Anna May (Dresen) Hull. He married June E. Kline on October 5, 1950 at Dodge City, Kansas. She survives of the home.
Other surviving family members include: sons, Jeffery Allen Hull of Forgan, Oklahoma, Herbert Dean Hull of Blue Springs, Missouri, and Thomas Hull of Kansas City, Missouri; daughters, Jane Ann Murray of Garden City, Kansas, Jill Marie Jacobs of Emporia, Kansas, and Lisa June Ochs of Sherman, Texas; sister, Dorothy Wood of Perry, Oklahoma; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded by his parents, a brother, and a sister.
Clifton was an oil pumper for Helmerch & Payne in Garden City, Kansas for 33 years, until his retirement 31 years ago. Following his retirement, Clifton worked for Wal-mart in Garden City, Kansas.
He was a 61-year member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Garden City and Emporia, holding offices in both orders.
Memorial services will be held at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 1:30 P.M. The service will be conducted by Pastor Rob Clausen, First Baptist Church, Emporia. Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Emporia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday prior to the service, from 12:30 P.M. to 1:30 P.M.
