Constance "Coni" Ann Lodle

Constance “Coni” Ann Lodle, 89, of Emporia, Kansas, died April 24, 2014 at Villa Saint Francis in Olathe, Kansas.

Coni was born in Emporia on August 1, 1924, the daughter of James Conn and Ann Maria Van Cleave. She married Robert A Lodle on December 21, 1946 in Emporia.

Coni worked for many years as accountant at Red X Pharmacy. After retiring, Coni volunteered at the Humane Society of the Flint Hills. For many years, Coni enjoyed playing golf with friends and her husband Bob, and enjoyed her close relationship with family and friends.

Coni is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lodle, and sister, Patricia Powell. She leaves behind, and will be missed by, her sister Mary Lee Madison-Nail and many nephews and nieces and dear friends such as Mary Bender. Aunt Coni was a second mother to her sisters' children and she will always be remembered for her support and love of them.

Cremation has taken place. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Emporia, Monday, May 12, 2014 at 1:00 P.M., with Father Tom Dolezal celebrating. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery following the Mass.
