Funeral Services for Coralea E. Cranz will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church. The service will be conducted by Pastor Nancy Gammill and Pastor Jayne Duncan of the church. The family will receive friends at the church an hour before the service. Private interment, later that day, will be in the Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Cranz died at her home Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at the age of 89
  
  
  Coralea Elizabeth Davidson was born April 29, 1921 at Elk City, Kansas, the daughter of Homer Nine and Hattie Irene (Elmore) Davidson. She married Willard L. “Brick” Cranz at Pawhuska, Oklahoma on September 25, 1940. He died May 8, 1990 in Emporia.
  
  
  Surviving family members include: three daughters, Marsha Reynolds, and husband, David, of Plano, Texas, Jeanne Cranz of Emporia, Kansas, and Rebecca Mergenmeier, and her husband, Andy, of Montpelier, Virginia; three sisters, Louise Estep, Farmington, New Mexico, Laberta Armstrong, Wichita Falls, Texas, and Martha Jo Hase, Lakewood, Colorado; and four grandchildren, Abby, Meg, and Eliza Mergenmeier of Montpelier, Virginia, and Chris Reynolds of McKinney, Texas.
  
  
  Mrs. Carnz was preceded in death by her husband Willard, and her daughter, Pam Cranz Cornett, who passed away December 2, 1999.
  
  
  She was a homemaker, and had worked 15 years for Interstate Brands/Dolly Madison Bakery in Emporia, retiring 25 years ago.
  
  
  Mrs. Cranz was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, and the Thursday Morning Circle of the church as well as Chapter CG of PEO. Also the Lucky Day Home Demonstration Unit, Newman Regional Health Auxiliary, and the Auxiliary to Ball-McColm Post #5, American Legion, and Lowry-Funston Post #1980, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
  
  
  A memorial has been established with Hand In Hand Hospice; contributions may be sent in care of the funeral home.
