Corinne J. Wilson, 83, Emporia, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Sunflower Care Home, Emporia.
Corrine J. North was born at the family farm on the Lyon County/Chase County line on May 24, 1936, the daughter of Stanley and Lucille (Albin) North. Corinne and Henry O. Wilson were united in marriage on June 13, 1964 at Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Emporia. He survives.
Along with her husband, Henry, Corinne is survived by their son, Paul M. Wilson, Eureka, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter; Lisa Ann Miller, who died September 29, 1990.
She graduated from Newton High School, Newton, Kansas and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Kansas State Teachers College (presently ESU), Emporia. She entered the banking field in Colorado before returning to Emporia where she worked at Lyon County State Bank, retiring in 1998 as Vice President and Cashier.
Cremation is planned. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Emporia. Father Brandon Farrar will celebrate the mass. Inurnment will follow in the Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Emporia
The family requests no flowers. Memorials have been established with Alzheimer Research Fund, Hand-In-Hand Hospice, or Sunflower Care Home. Contributions may be sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, PO Box #175, Emporia, Kansas 66801.
