Cynthia L. Ashburn Thompson, 57, of Emporia, Kansas, died Friday, April 17, 2015, at her home.

Cindy was born on August 20, 1957 in Olathe, Kansas, the daughter of Larry and Karon Baker Ashburn. She married Daniel Thompson and later divorced.

Survivors include: sons, Scott Ramirez and wife Amber of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota, and Preston Ashburn and wife Amber of Leroy, Kansas; daughter, Kayla Alvarado and husband Duane of Port Neches, Texas; mother, Karon Contizano of Emporia; stepmother, Virginia Ashburn of Las Vegas, Nevada; brothers, Arlen Ashburn of Emporia, Eric Contizano and wife Kristen of Acworth, Georgia, and Jay Ashburn and Larry Ashburn, both of Colorado; sister, Debbie Noonan and husband Dennis of Burlington; stepsisters, Pam Andres, Nancy Calvin, Donna Caraig, Terri Campbell, Nikki Huff and Penny Adams; and grandchildren, Kimberly Riebel, Drew Hartig, Bentley Ashburn, Lane Crooks, Clay Crooks, Tristin Clayborn, Jacob Hogan, Amiah Ramirez, and Mason Ramirez.

She is preceded in death by her father, Larry Ashburn; sister, Kimberly Adams; brother, Kent Adams; stepfathers, James Contizano and Kenny Adams; grandparents, Willis and Marjorie Baker and Delbert and Mildred Ashburn; and nephew, Brian Ashburn.

Cindy owned the Just One More bar in Emporia for the past three years.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M., Friday, April 24, 2015 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia. Burial will take place at Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday evening, April 23, 2015, from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia.
