D. Todd Cannon, 49, died Monday, October 3, 2011 at his home in Emporia, Kansas.
Todd was born on March 7, 1962 in Emporia, the son of Donald E., and Bonnie J. Horton Cannon. They survive in Emporia. Todd graduated from Emporia High School in 1980, and then graduated from the University of Kansas in May of 1985.
In July 1985, he moved to Orlando Florida, and began to work for a swimming pool business until August 2001 when he returned to Emporia. After moving back, he joined his father in rental properties and a remodeling business. In 2010 Todd acquired Cannon Properties on Stanton Street, which he managed and co-owned with his father. Todd enjoyed landscaping and remodeling.
Cremation has taken place, with a memorial graveside service to be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, October 8, 2011, at Greenwood Cemetery in Emporia. The service will be conducted by Pastor Andrew McHenry of First Congregational Church in Emporia.
