Dale Eugene Nuessen (68) of Emporia passed away Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka.
Dale Eugene Nuessen, the son of Herman Joseph and Margaret Evelyn (Hammer) Nuessen, was born April 22, 1942 in Emporia, Kansas. He married Elizabeth Ann Scharenberg on July 19, 1969 in Emporia, Kansas. She survives of the home. He is also survived by one son, David Nuessen of Leawood, Missouri. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Nicklaus and one brother, Duane.
Dale worked for twenty years at the Red X Pharmacy and then for twenty years at Navrat’s Office Products. He was a member of the Emporia Masonic Lodge #12 A.F. & A.M.
His funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Chapel. Rev. Lee Hoskins of the First United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Chicago Mound Cemetery southeast of Emporia. The family will visit with friends 7 to 8 P.M. Tuesday February 8, 2011 at the funeral home.
