Danny Lee Libertus of Emporia died on Sunday, April 21, 2019 at his home. He was 65.
Danny was born on May 11, 1953 in Emporia, Kansas the son of Lester and Ruby Worndorf Libertus. He married Kathy Wells on May 11, 1974 in Emporia, Kansas. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include: son, Jayson Libertus and wife Valorie of Emporia’ brother, Jimmy Libertus of Arkansas; sisters, Bonnie Green of Emporia, and Connie Libertus of Florida; grandchildren, Hailley Libertus, Brittanee Libertus, Joey Kent, and Jeremiah Mercer; great-grandchildren, Paislee Mercer, Harlow Mercer, and Sawyer Mercer.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Danny was a Maintenance man for Four Seasons Apartments for 18 years and then was a handyman around Emporia. He was a member of the Salvation Army.
Cremation is planned with a visitation from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 26, 2019 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home. Memorial contributions to the Salvation Army or the Buck Animal Welfare Fund can be sent in care of the funeral home.
