Danny J. San Romani

Danny J. San Romani, 77, Topeka, Kansas, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2026 at Heritage Grove Estate Care Center, Topeka, Kansas.

Danny was born March 31, 1949 in Emporia, Kansas, the son of Egideo “Bud” and Laura (McColl) San Romani. He is survived by his sister; Debra San Romani, Topeka, Kansas, brothers; David (Sharon) San Romani, Rose Hill, Kansas, and Dennis (Galene) San Romani, Kingman, Kansas, one niece, three nephews, five great-nieces, and four great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and son; Justin Kent San Romani.

Lt. Cmdr. San Romani (retd) served in the United States Coast Guard, beginning in 1971 until his retirement in 1992. Following his Coast Guard service he was with the Combat Air Museum, Topeka, Kansas, for 22 years, of which he was Curator for 19. He was also a volunteer there for 9 years. He was a graduate of Emporia (Kansas) High School, the United States Coast Guard Academy, New London, Connecticut, and Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg, Missouri. He was an Eagle Scout and a member of an Explorer Post in Emporia.

Cremation is planned. Graveside services will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery, south of Emporia, on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Coast Guard.
