Darrell David Jones, 97 of Gladstone, Missouri died Saturday, November 25, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.

Darrell was born November 11, 1920 in Emporia, Kansas the son of Edward Griffith and Edith (Pollack) Jones. He spent his life as a farmer. Darrell was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Emporia, Served on the Stony Ridge School Board, the Dixon School Board, and the Lyon County District #3 Water Board and was a Merry Mixers 4-H Club Leader.

Darrell married Lois Lynn Langley at the Olpe United Methodist Church on July 22, 1945. She survives of the home. Other survivors include: son Gregory David Jones and wife Cindy of Olathe, Kansas, daughter Deborah Ann Krouse of Kansas City, Missouri, sister Allene Lucina Lane of Clay Center, Kansas, grandsons Sean Krouse of Parkville, Missouri, Brandon Jones of Scottsdale, Arizona, Preston Jones and wife Karolina of Dallas, Texas, great-grandchildren Vincent Jones and Zofia Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Robert Carroll Jones, Ralph E. Jones, and sister Ruth Evelyn Murphy.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia. Pastor Lucille Barb of the Olpe United Methodist Church will be officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Olpe, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, December 1, 2017 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
