David Lee Lane of Emporia, died on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Newman Regional Health in Emporia. He was 65.
David was born on May 26, 1959, in Hoisington, Kansas, the son of Darrell and Thelma Jean Herdt Lane.
He is survived by his sister Katherine Woods of Topeka; three nieces and two nephews; friend Angela Atchison, and his pride and joy his dog, Precious.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Thomas and Ron Lane.
David worked as a dishwasher at Emporia State University for 25 years.
Cremation is planned with a private service later.
