David Michael Rose, 57, of Wichita, and formerly of Emporia, died Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the College Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wichita, Kansas.
David was born on November 10, 1957 in Emporia, Kansas, the son of Wallace “Jack” and Joyce M. Blackburn Rose. He married Mary Price, and they later divorced; he then married Terri West and also divorced. Later he married Katherine Rose and divorced.
He is survived by: daughter, Danika Rose; stepchildren, Ryan Mock, Phillip Mock, William Dickson, Calista Dickson, Karmarish Dickson, and Karmaris Dickson; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandson; sisters, Gayla Holloway of Wichita, and Jackie Kuhn and Susan Faber, both of Newton, Kansas.
David is preceded in death by his parents.
David served in the United States Army, and later was a night counselor for a recovery service for over 15 years. He loved fishing, and if you could not find, him he was out riding his motorcycle with his friends.
Cremation has taken place, with a memorial service from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., Friday, July 17, 2015 at the recovery center, 882 W. 5th Ave., Emporia. Memorial contributions to the St. Jude’s Foundation may be sent in care of the funeral home.
