Derald Arvin Lind, Kansas City, Kansas, died on December 31, 2024. He was 87 years old.
Derald was born on February 22, 1937, in Saffordville, Kansas, the son of Russell and Helena Faye (Thomas) Lind. He married Wilma Lackey on June 10, 1967, in Emporia, Kansas.
He is survived by his wife and younger daughter, Anita Lind, also of Kansas City, Kansas. His older daughter, Dr. Lori Lind, passed away in 2023 at the age of 53.
Derald earned his Master’s degree, and was a teacher at the Kansas City Kansas Community College for 36 years. He retired in 1999.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Hillside Cemetery in Toledo, Kansas, at 1:45 P.M. Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home is assisting family with arrangements.
