Dolores Mary Bosiljevac, 91 of Emporia, Kansas died February 27, 2018 at the Emporia Presbyterian Manor.
Dolores was born June 1, 1926 in Columbus, Nebraska the daughter of Leo and Cecilia (Sokol) Duracinski. She was a loving mother and also worked as a secretary for an accounting firm. Dolores was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Emporia, where she was a cantor and member of the choir as well as the Altar Society. She was an avid volunteer for many organizations, including Birthright and nursing homes. Dolores spent her free time pursuing art, piano and loved playing bridge and Scrabble.
Dolores married Joseph Bosiljevac, Sr. on September 18, 1948 in Omaha, Nebraska. He died July 27, 2009 in Emporia. She is survived by sons Joseph Bosiljevac, Jr. of New York, New York, Tim Bosiljevac and wife Sandi of Virginia Beach, Virginia, daughters Judith Beran and husband Cheron of Surprise, Arizona, Carol Guild of Overland Park, Kansas, Janice Price and husband Lex of Emporia, brothers Frank Valasek of Windlake, Wisconsin, Ray Valasek of Greybull, Wyoming, sister-in-law Kathy Valasek of Omaha, brother-in-law David Bosiljevac of Union, Nebraska, 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Thomas Valasek and sister Lorraine McDougal.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:00 A.M. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Emporia. The Celebrant will be Father Brandon Farrar. The Rosary will be recited 7:30 P.M. Friday, March 2, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. And Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Emporia.
