Don C. Hankins

Don C. Hankins, 88 of rural Neosho Rapids, Kansas died Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at his home.

Don was born February 3, 1929 in Colby, Kansas the son of Samuel and Grace (McFadden) Hankins. He served in the US Navy from 1951 to 1955. Don worked as a cost analyst for the Boeing Company in Wichita for 32 years and retired in 1992. He enjoyed bowling and playing golf.

Don married Doris A. Pearson on June 24, 1956 in Neosho Rapids and she died August 4, 2013 in Emporia. He is survived by a son Kelly D. Hankins and wife Debbie of Haysville, Kansas, daughter Vickie M. Entwisle and husband Bill of Neosho Rapids, grandchildren Adam Entwisle and wife Katie, Alexis Cole and husband Matt, Shawn Hankins, Lindsey Higgins and husband Clayton, great-grandchildren Cooper Hankins, Jack Entwisle and Emmie Entwisle. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and brothers Hubert Hankins, Doyle Hankins, Sam Hankins, Myron Hankins, sisters Lyla Biesner, Audrey Webster, Norma Jean Everrest, and Eula Phillips.

Cremation is planned. Inurnment services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Forrest Hill Cemetery east of Emporia. Pastor Gene Huston of the Neosho Rapids United Methodist Church will be officiating.
