Donald C. Hines, 81, Emporia, Kansas, passed away at the Flint Hills Care Center, Emporia, on Thursday, September 18, 2025.
Donald Chester Hines was born December 10, 1943 at Emporia, Kansas, the son of Dale and Inez (Schmidt) Hines. He is survived by his brothers; Ray Hines, Emporia, and Ron Hines, Lebo, Kansas, and several nieces and nephews.
He was a farmer and mechanic, working with his family at Hines & Sons, retiring several years ago. Donald was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church.
The family will receive friends at 9:00 A.M. on Friday, September 26, 2025 at Messiah Lutheran Church followed by the service at 10:00 A.M. with services conducted by Pastor Norbert Tegtmeier of the church. Interment will follow in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
Memorials have been established for Messiah Lutheran Church or the Kansas School for the Deaf, with contributions sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, PO Box #175 Emporia, Kansas 66801.
