Donald was born on March 17, 1945 in Fullerton, California the son of Alvin and Josephine Davis Ratzlaff. He was married but later divorced.
Surviving family members include: son, Daniel Ratzlaff of Emporia; daughter, Kristina Typaldos of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; grandchildren, David Dixon-Ratzlaff, Rachelle Typaldos, and Christopher Typaldos.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers.
Donald was an Electrician. He served in the United States Air Force.
