Donna R. Clifton, 93, formerly of Emporia died on Friday, October 13, 2017 at the Cambridge Court Assisted Living and Memory Care Community in Mesquite, Texas.
Donna was born on April 29, 1924 in Blue Rapids, Kansas the daughter of Adolph and Mina Cole Trickel. She married Robert C. Clifton on March 5, 1942 in Douglas, Arizona. He died on August 24, 2008 in Emporia, Kansas
Surviving family members include: son, Kenneth C. Clifton of Dayton, Ohio; daughter, Peggy D. Munson of Mesquite, Texas; five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, brothers Harold, Clarence, Earl, and Earnest Trickel, sisters Elda Strange and Anna McCain.
Donna was a bookkeeper for many years at Internal Medicine. She was a member of the West Side Baptist Church, Emporia.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at West Side Baptist Church, Emporia with burial following at Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Emporia. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions to West Side Baptist Church can be sent in care of the funeral home.
