Donny L. Bailey, 84, Emporia, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Holiday Resort Care Center, Emporia.
Donny was born December 13, 1938 in Larned, Kansas, the son of Harry G. and Leora E. (Jordan) Bailey. He married Marcia L. Fear in Emporia on January 3, 1959. She survives. He is also survived by daughter; Kimberly (Dale) Anderson, Lawrence, Kansas, son; Michael Bailey, Emporia, Kansas, grandchildren; Zackary Anderson and Bronte` Batman Bailey, great-grandchild; Maeva Batman Bailey. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Norman G. Bailey.
He worked in construction prior to a 42 year career at Didde Web Press in Emporia, and semi-retired in January of 2003. Donny was a member of Emporia Masonic Lodge #12, A.F. & A.M.
He was fortunate to have made many lasting friendships through the years. He enjoyed raising cattle and farming.
Cremation is planned. A memorial service will be held at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, September 29, 2023
