Doris Louise French

Doris Louise French, Emporia, Kansas, died at the Flint Hills Care Center, Emporia, Kansas on August 11, 2010. She was 82.

Doris Louise Figueroy was born in Maryland on October 5, 1927, the daughter of Henry and Helen Figueroy. She married Eldon Everett at Leavenworth, Kansas in 1950, they later divorced. She married Ralph French, and they later divorced.

Son: Eldon Nix, Emporia, Kansas
Daughter: Gail Tinoco, Olathe, Kansas
Three sisters (no names for all three are available)
Nine grandchildren
Nineteen great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Doris Lane; three sisters, and two brothers.

Mrs. French was employed as a dietician for the Perry Point Veterans Administration Facility in Perry Point, Maryland for 33 years. She was retired. She had been a resident of Emporia since 1985.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, August 16, 2010 at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, with Pastor Andrew McHenry of the First Congregational Church conducting the service. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, south of Emporia, Kansas.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM
