Doris M. Milam, 78, of Emporia, Kansas, died on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Holiday Resort Care Center, Emporia.
Doris was born on October 21, 1935 in Emporia, the daughter of George Harold and Murna Gladys Hanes Barrett. She married Robert Milam on November 14, 1953 in Emporia. He died on September 18, 1996 in Wichita, Kansas.
Surviving family members include: her son, Douglas Milam; daughters, Tammy Parker and Cindy Rhoads; brothers, Floyd Casebier and Jacob H. Barrett; sister, Colleen Smith; and four grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, George Dwayne Barrett, Billy Joe Barrett, and Robert Dennis Barrett.
Doris was a manager for Town Crier and Dollar General, both in Emporia.
