Dorothea Perrier Kaesler

Dorothea Perrier Kaesler, 76, died Sunday morning, May 17, 2015, in Jacksonville, Florida.

Dorothea was born in Olpe, Kansas, to Ernest and Frances Perrier on June 27, 1938. After completing high school in Olpe, she began a lifelong dedication to her faith, serving initially as a postulant in the Catholic Convent in Concordia, Kansas.

Following her service in Concordia, she met and married William Lloyd in 1959 and they were blessed with two sons and a daughter. Their daughter Mary died in 1964, only three months after birth. Six months later in August of 1964 William also passed away.

She returned to the Emporia, Kansas area that fall to be near family. Her third son was born in February of 1965. Dorothea completed her Licensed Practical Nurse certification in 1967. In 1970, she married Arthur Kaesler and resided with him on a farm near Osage City, Kansas for several years before moving to Panhandle, Texas. She and Art spent over 30 years in Panhandle, until Art died in 2001, and she continued to live there until 2013 when she moved to Jacksonville to be near her son Jim.

Dorothea is survived by her three sons, Bill and his wife Tracy of Atlanta, Georgia, Jim and his wife Lizabeth of Jacksonville, and Tom and his wife Stephanie of Stafford, Virginia; fourteen grandchildren; and her sister, Theresa Rose Duran, of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
